ABOUT ME

I would like to think that I am a traveler by nature. I enjoy meeting new people, experiencing new cultures, love a good story, and can pretty much fall asleep anywhere. I grew up in Baltimore, moved around MD every 5 years or so then eventually went to Wisconsin for 4 summers in my teens (found a job on the internet, which was scary back then lol). I have also lived in Virginia, Chicago and most recently Dallas and now I am back. But there isn't a day when I don't think about those offers to move to Seattle or Milwaukee with my wonderful friends. :) Speaking of friends, I have some of the best friends in the world and the ones who are closest to me are travelers as well. But I am always down for a new friend!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is that regardless of our backgrounds, it is our individual responsibility to take care of each other collectively. I live my life (for the most part) as if I am going to die tomorrow. I am not saying that I have done every single thing that I have ever wanted to do. Rather, I am saying that if my life should end this moment, I would be genuinely proud and happy with what I have accomplished thus far. Some people say I am a nomad. haha

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to host people in the future, but for now I am just looking to hang out with some fellow travelers and perhaps use a couch or two when I am on the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I definitely sleep on all my friends couches when I visit them. I have friends all over the world and my experience has been to allow them to stay with me when needed and vice versa. I still have some trips to take as well. But all my experiences have been great! I really enjoy getting to know someone's family and friends and ultimately get to know them a little better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen my nephew open his eyes at look at me for the first time. That is something I will never forget ever.

But beyond mushy Aunt stuff (lol), I have seen a sunrise passing through Kansas and lightning in the Rockies. Awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely teach you the art of being pretty social. lol...but I can also teach people how to make crafty things, or about Haitian history and some economics if you feel like being bored.
I would like to learn as much as possible - seriously!
