Adventure seeking and mind and heart cultivation
My best friends would definitely peg me as the "spontaneous" one out of the group. I am both driven academically and seeking out new adventures. My friends love taking road trips with me because they never know what adventures we will end up having! They would also say that I'm kind, caring, funny, and willing to try almost anything once. I'm very down to earth and easy going. Not easily offended but will speak my mind if warranted.
Make yourself happy and others will pursue their happiness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently looking for a place to stay for two nights for SXSW for my friend and I.
I was able to stay in New Orleans for about 4 nights through couchsurfing and it was a great experience!
I enjoy spending my time trying new things when I'm not bogged down with school. I am working on Masters degree in Psychology and I enjoy continuing my education and learning new things. I enjoy painting, however, I'm not an artist by any means. I enjoy reading, listening to music, enjoying the beauty that nature has to offer, and meeting new people and hearing their stories. I have always wanted to travel and this will be my first endeavor in making that happen. A road trip towards the East Coast seems to be a good start for me. I also play roller derby for my town's local league and am the Vice President of the league. This is probably one of the most important things in my life right now because it fosters women strength, empowerment, individuality, and has become a way to meet other women completely different than myself!

Music, Movies, and Books
All of them. All the books. All the music. All the movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I started out writing a short story here...I deleted it. Short, sweet, and to the point is more aesthetically pleasing. I've enjoyed the stars of West Texas, the snow of Colorado, the church kids in Mexico, the refugee community in Georgia, the Gulf of Mexico (hoping to see more beaches soon), and beauty of nature as it changes from the west to the east. I'm looking to see all that I can in this short life I live.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a student of psychology. I like learning people's stories and engaging and listening. I have two ears and one mouth for a very good reason. I like teaching myself how to do things independently. I have worked on the transmission and motor of my washer and fixed that with a mere $10. Now if only I could work on cars! Teach me! I love learning new things that I never thought I'd get the chance of experiencing.
