I've lived in NOLA for about 2.5 years now. I really enjoy studying languages, and have studied Italian, French, and Arabic (though French is the only one I can still speak). I'm obsessed with dance (all kinds, but mostly contemporary/modern), rock climbing, and spending time outside. I like artsy things and I am really into theater. I'm also an adventurous, go with the flow pacifist who wants to meet more people and become better acquainted with the world :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and what I like most is truly getting to know a different culture, and to me that means meeting the locals. Couchsurfing is a way to escape the tourist trap that often leaves me in my comfort zone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't choose one!
-Backpacking through the jungles and then mountains of Colombia
-Rolling down sand dunes and rock climbing in Jordan
-Spent three weeks in India volunteering as an English teacher and learning yoga.
-Swimming in the Blue Grotto in Capri, Italy, while the water was glowing and the oarmen were singing in Italian. It's the closest I've ever come to fulfilling my childhood dream of becoming a mermaid.
