About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live life, live it well, and laugh while I'm living it

ABOUT ME

Me? Umm, I'm a laid back guy. I love to laugh and make those around me laugh too. I'm a optimistic realist (kind of an oxymoron huh?) Pretty much, I see things for what they are, but hope for the best anyway. I love to conversate. I'm always up for new experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

I've got two:
I'll try almost anything twice, incase I mess it up the first time.
I tell jokes so I can laugh and anyone that laughs is a plus, but if they don't laugh, at least I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to the couchsurfing community, so hopefully I'll be able to write something cool here in the future.

Interests

I'm into a lot of things. Sports, working out, writing, drawing, acting, singing, movies, music, reading, and the list goes on and on and on and...

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into fantasy book. I only started reading them about 2 1/2 years ago, and I've gone through 30 plus books since then, and have no intention of slowing down. My favorite Authors are Elaine Cunningham, R A Salvatore, and Simon R Green.
I'm into just about any type of music, yes that includes country.
I'm a huge movie buff. I'll check out almost anything. A far as favorites, it's hard to tel b/c I've got so many and I don't like to narrow it down.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done is go Canyoning. I did this in Switzerland. Basically, you go way up into the mountains. They have waterfalls and natural rock slides all the way down. Basically you jump from waterfall top to waterfall base and slide down rocks until you get almost to the bottom of the mountain. It was a 3 hour adrenaline rush.
The most amazing thing I've seen are the blue waters of Japan. I've seen clear water w/ white sands and been on the tan sanded beaches of Cali to Jersey and Maryland. But Japan had the most true blue waters I've ever seen. I could sit on Miaki point (Suicide Cliff, and I may have miss spelled it)and just watch the waves break again the cliff.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a military brat, and as a result, I was blessed w/ the experience of being able to grow up in a number of various cultures. One important piece of advice I can give, is to approach every new culture or experience w/ green eyes. You get so much more out of things when you just accept that people do different things different ways rather than deciding right there and then that it's "stupid"
