ABOUT ME

I am energetic, happy, can get quite loud when excited about things, loyal and a lot of fun to be around. I am always willing to try new things and experiences. I enjoy travelling alone more to travelling with friends. I love music and festivals. I am a morris dancer (traditional English folk dancing, combined with a lot of alcohol). I also love to go out and watch bands and dance. I do like to do the touristy things when I am somewhere new but I prefer to be shown the spots of a city that most tourists don't know about. I am happy to sit in the park in the afternoon sun and play some sports. I love nature and hiking. If there is a body of water (beach, lake, stream, pool) and the weather is warm I will be in the water.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Firstly hoping to find some nice people who can let me sleep on their couches while I'm travelling Europe. Once I am back in Australia I would love to host.

Folk/music festivals, sports, Morris dancing, swimming,travelling, circus and gymnastics, camping, farms, the beach, riding bikes, meeting interesting people, having a beer while watching bands, just started hooping.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: punk, ska, Aussie hip-hop, some alternative/indie Taylor Swift. Anything that I can dance to. I love hearing new music and love hearing music from other countries and cultures.

Movies: mostly documentaries, I do like off beat comedy (NOT Hollywood comedy!) I normally hate the movies that everyone wants to go and see and what win all the awards. I prefer small budget movies. I also LOVE cartoons and animation movies. I would rather go and watch an animated movie for children than go and watch the new Batman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skiing in the north of Sweden and seeing the northern lights, just so beautiful.

The latest one would be driving back to Adelaide from Melbourne and taking the Great Ocean Road route. It takes so much longer but is just so beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

Nursing/first aid, especially in Australia where there's so many dangerous animals and situations.

Swimming, I was close to qualifying for the Australian Olympic trials in 2000 so I can teach people how to swim better to save energy, especially good for tourists in Australia. I can also teach you how to identify and get out of rips at the beach.
