About Me

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Making the Twin Cities Couchsurfing group one of the most active couchsurfing groups in the world! Going to CS happy hours, showing couchsurfers around the Twin Cities, or simply meeting up for coffee/tea are some of the ways I participate. I also love introducing people to couchsurfing who have never heard of it before. :)

My first couchsurfing experience was in Manhattan. I'd always heard of the rudeness of New Yorkers. I can safely say I did not experience one rude couchsurfer from NYC. They were the most open minded, positive, trusting, helpful people I've ever met. One of the highlights of 2012 so far. Since then, I've couchsurfed in Spokane, WA before heading out to Glacier National Park and also in Grand Marais, MN on my first real trip to northern Minnesota. My latest adventure brought me to Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona - as I write this, I can hardly believe I was there, it was surreal!

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Taking a spontaneous trip to New York City with a CS'er I'd just met and seeing Manhattan for the first time - a crazy, wonderful, spontaneous adventure!

Hiking and backwoods camping in Glacier National Park - first time ever seeing the mountains. Driving on the "Going-to-the-Sun" Road was breathtaking. Who knew Montana was so gorgeous?

Teach, Learn, Share

You always have something to teach, share, or learn. That's the beauty of living, learning, and sharing with others.
