About Me

To make my 12 week trip to Europe the best experience of my life!

I will be getting a BS in public affairs in May 2014. My degree is coming from Indiana University in Bloomington and that is currently where I am living, although my hometown is a small Indiana town near Chicago and I lived in California for a few years before that.

When things are rough or stressful or scary during my trip, I try to remember that someday I'm going to be at home with a cup of tea and I'm going to laugh at all the crazy adventures I had.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't hosted or surfed yet, but I'd really love to get involved!

I haven't had any yet!

I enjoy reading, playing card/board games, and volunteering.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I own about 35 of Helena Bonham Carter's movies and my favorite is Conversations With Other Women. Other movies I own include Flashdance, Good Will Hunting, Rent, Religulous, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Children of Men, and Let the Right One In.

Music: Tegan and Sara were playing in Berlin June 18 and I really wish it had been feasible for me to go! Also, I get really excited when I hear Lana Del Rey playing here. And I went to a Macklemore concert right before leaving the US. I also have a drunk playlist which consists songs such as Shaggy's "Wasn't Me" and "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne. Haha. I can resist if I must though.

Books: My favorite books are Crimson Night, Crimson Kiss, and Crimson Shadows by Trisha Baker. I also really enjoyed A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, and A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin. I'm currently reading A Dance With Dragons! As far as non-fiction, I really like Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer, Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach, and My Life Among the Serial Killers: Inside the Minds of the World's Most Notorious Murderers by Helen Morrison, M.D and Harold Goldberg.
