I am a semi-retired teacher embarking on a life-long dream to rv around the USA. I am ready to go out and meet new people and open my home to visitors to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and those just passing through.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to CouchSurfing and this community. However, I have lots of experience couch surfing with family members. I have a large extended family and have often stayed in their homes and sometimes they stay in mine.

Interests

I enjoy many crafts such as working with wood and making all sorts of things with beads. I just started painting with acrylics and I'll post my first painting when it's finished. I also enjoy reading, travel, and music. Currently, I am having a great time playing with my puppy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have fond memories of visiting the salt mines in Bavaria, Germany with my husband. I don't speak German and could only communicate via my husband. A family from Columbia was there for the tour. Talking with them in Spanish prior to starting the tour calmed my anxiety about the tour. I spoke with them during the tour and it felt so great to communicate for myself.
