studying for one semester in the South of Brazil and mastering one of my biggest weaknesses: everyday life
making small trips before leaving once again for a big Latin America trip in December
.....traveling around and trying to get inspiration from the variety of places I visit and the great people I meet, open up my horizon, leave my comfort zone... learn from everything life has to offer me- and enjoy the now!
I love all kinds of art and adventures.... concerning the first one especially dance theater. Although I would love to be able to spend more time on this, I am not participating in a piece right now.
Back in the days when my life had some sort of order I used to write for a newspaper, work for a radio and as a production assitant in video productions... now after spending most of my "adult" life in France and Berlin-
I´m letting myself be amazed by the American continent.... getting to know people, let creativity flow and (pragmatic side speaking^^) improving my language skills :D
and everything will come
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have had several coffee or drinks while I was in Paris and built some amazing friendships there...
I have met hosts, travel buddies and sooo many amazing people on this site.
Before CS went corporate I unconditionally looked at it like my family.... I used to say "the concept of nation makes no sense to me what so ever- we´re supposed to feel connected to the people who by chance were born on a piece of land (supposently) not so far from ours while excluding others because of imaginative borders?! my nation would be couchsurfing!" :)
Political Activism in different forms- and looking for alternative forms of living together- Economic Degrowth has become a keyword for me..
Reading!! Reading. READING!
reflect on life and trying to work out my demons is something I don´t always enjoy, but can´t stop doing...
Making films that have political relevance
Sports: all kinds of, at the moment Capoeira... I like to try out new and extreme stuff
dancing: whenever, wherever ...however^^
Going out with my friends, discuss, eat, drink, write... and savour the moment!
Traveling... if I had the money I´d spend my whole life travelling, travelling, travelling- and never settling down :)
(it´s kind of what I am doing anyway)
Music, Movies, and Books
Simone de Beauvoir, Muraka, Piketty, Paech, Cohelo, Follet, Esquivel, Goethe, Kafka.... my interest in books has no end and not really a system
Tarantino, Austrian cinema, Burton
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
...most recently: eating fire in the desert of slab city and following the white rabbit
a Hamam in rural Morocco with an elderly arabic woman who I couldn´t verbally communicate with
crying on stage
disapeapearing into the Mexican jungle for a few days
sky diving... (1 tick on the things to do before I die list);)
loving with all my heart
Teach, Learn, Share
languages, poems, dances, economic theories, historic connections, Mexicas culture and a veeery critical perspective on Europe´s politics, feminist & queer ideas... getting loose...
want to learn more about handcrafts mainly with wood but I am open for anything... the plan is to come closer and closer to a diy-form of independence :)
whenever I get to a place I also want to hear about the stuff you don´t necessarily see from the outside and that only a local can explain to you- like how google and co is killing San Francisco for example etc etc
CIRCUSstuff!!! (playing with fire, juggling, acrobacy)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you how to stand on your hands!! :D
I can make you crêpes!
....and you can practice English, French, German or Spanish with me (and very basic portugese) :P
...and tons of other things we can think about.... light the matches... GO!
