About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a university student studying Latin American studies abroad in Chile!

I have had a passion for traveling, experiencing new things and meeting new people from around the world since I was 16 years old, and since then I haven't been able to stop!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to meet people from all around the world, learn from them and live life to the fullest! I believe that going to a country and only staying within the tourist areas and isolating oneself in a hotel room is a limiting travel experience. I'd love to step outside of my comfort zone, share my story and make memories in a new way!

Interests

I'm an avid learner who enjoys activities such as being with family and friends, skiing, soccer, fishing, hiking, camping, volunteering, teaching English and watching short films/movies. Traveling is an integral part of my life, and I love trying new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a fan of modern indie folk music when I'm alone, but often listen to hip hop and rap in the company of others.

My favorite movie is and may always be Fight Club, and my favorite documentary is currently Living on One Dollar ( It's basically a reflection of what I've always wanted to do in a documentary )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once climbed a waterfall and stopped a mugging.

Teach, Learn, Share

Two summers ago I began learning Spanish during my stay in Bolivia. I have an fairly good understanding of the language and am able to have a basic conversations. I'm currently working on improving my Spanish by studying abroad for a semester

I have learned German for 5 years, but since I have been focusing on learning Spanish my German is now not very gut.

I am a native English speaker and have pursued basic literacy training. I have been known to be an English tutor, and am always happy to help people improve their English!

I have also had courses on public advocacy and civic engagement. If I see a problem in my community, I have been trained on ways that I can work towards solving them and voicing my concerns in order to create positive social change.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bolivia, Cayman Islands, Chile, Germany, Jamaica, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In
