create great stories.
I'm a student studying abroad in South Africa for 14 months and working on a documentary about Afrikaners in the new South Africa. I'm open to new ideas, adventures and am always down for any kind of outdoor activity! I make friends easily and love to meet new people!
There is nothing more expensive than a wasted opportunity!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't had much of a chance to host, but i've surfed, always had tons of fun, and met really awesome people! Besides traveling, I'd really like to be more involved in my local CS community! Working on it. =)
Ireland, Scotland, Vienna, Chicago.
I'm passionate about good books, traveling -but not being a tourist, once in a life time experiences, running, hiking/back packing, current events, people watching, film, culture, keeping in touch, learning languages, exploring, and especially good food.
Music, Movies, and Books
I feel like when I travel to a place, my itunes library and DVD collection ends up growing: Music and film are the best souvenirs.
I am a reader. Given my major, I read a lot of African Literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have had the opportunity to live abroad a few times: in Ecuador while in High school, in Germany, and now after being to South Africa twice staying for an extended period. I think having that chance to assimilate to another culture to a degree is pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would really like to learn about the food in the places that I travel, and see the place through the eyes of a resident...not just the typical sights. I like to get a real taste of the place!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom
