I only hope to continue learning and be happy, that is all
I am unconventional--not into following the crowd, but into following my intuition. Like Rumi says: "let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray", and that is how I live my life. I am spiritual, love music, art, reading, food, silence, traveling, and strange people.
I am interested in alternative forms of living and hope to one day live in a cave, a boat, but not an igloo because I don't really like the cold.
As a graduate student I am busy, but that doesn't stop me from fulfilling my wanderlust. I have backpacked most of Central and Southern Mexico and most of of Central America except El Salvador and Belize. My next journey will be South America!
I want to explore and learn from life and others. I am a happy person and a daydreamer yet critical and passionate about social justice* I like to cook and eat delicious vegetarian/vegan food.
I like to take up quirky, obscure activities like learning to play the ukulele, reading tarot cards, learning how to read auras--mine is magenta. What about yours?
Live your life anyway you want as long it makes YOU happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Building community is important to me and that means building relationships. I live and attempt to maintain those relationships; therefore, I don't just accept anyone who sends me a couchrequest much less if it is not personal. I need to be assured that I will be safe around you and willing to trust you with my home.
I appreciate the idea of being open--opening your home to a potential friend and being open to the idea of learning from one another.
I don't just want someone to crash at my place; although, if that is what you need i can perhaps help you. Preferably, I would like to have an exchange, whether its simple chat of ideas, knowledge, laughs, friendship, etc. I simply want to learn other perspectives and be challenged on my own ideologies, this is what life is about--a constant evolution made of small changes that later become part of us and define us.
Art, meditation, independent foreign films, music, vegetarian/vegan cooking and eating, photography, and currently learning to play the ukulele.
Music, Movies, and Books
