About Me

Explore the different places & meet the awesome people.

I am from Mumbai, India and now I live in the New York City.
My current mission it to explore the New York City & the places in the US...

For my life in India, I have explored a lot of places in India. Thanks to my awesome job as an Technical Evangelist, I have had many opportunities to explore places, culture & it had been an awesome experience.

I like meeting new people & love to have a great time with them. It gives me an unique opportunity to know the different parts of the world.

I like to attend & participate into various events like BarCamps, AutoShows & many more events, Meet ups so that I can meet the like minded folks. I do like to explore new places with new friends.

I enjoy long drives, I am still waiting to get my US Drivers License so that I can plan long drivers around the city. That's my new year's resolution :)

Be genuine. Be good & nice to the people & places around. Be open & respectful. Of course enjoy this one lifetime :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Generally I participate by helping organizing different events & communities. Since I just moved to NYC I have not yet got an opportunity to support any of the events or community activities but would to that in coming time.

I can host people, most of the time these are people through connections from my friends. I have got a couch & I can host local & international surfers to my place. As how I have hosted different folks from my close contacts & few from different places.

I show them the city, places so that they can go home with a great experience.

Sometimes it's difficult for me to manage hosting due to the nature of my job as I travel around & that would mean that I could not host surfers.

Walk & Explore - The best way to explore New York City is to walk. More you walk, more you get to know the gems of the city. I love to explore places, knowing surroundings.

Discussions - Enjoy talking to new people on different topics. May be a general talk or something interesting philosophical stuff! Sheer fun :)

Music - Rock, Hard Rock, Metal & sometimes Hindi/Marathi classical stuff too. Love to attend rock concerts...

Nightlife - I enjoy nightlife like bars, clubs & DJs, spending time late nights exploring new places in the cities I visit & the city I live right now. It's an awesome experience.

Technology - I love the technical topics, most of the time discussing about tech trends, gadgets is fun with techies around.

Travel - I love to travel a lot especially new places. Try out the different experience with new people.

Food - Trying out different type of food is fun. I am a non-vegetarian so it gives an added opportunity to try out different flavors in that place.

Drives - I like to go for long drives. Enjoy driving cars. That's fun!

Museums - Sometimes some science & space related stuff interests me a lot. And if there is a good company the I would love to attend art museums as well.

Fashion/Photography - I love Photography and knowing bit of a technology it's fun to explore & play with the camera & grab some awesome clicks around the city!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love action & adventure movies including some sci-fi stuff. And more often I do enjoy rock music.

Late night music, movies or watching some series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We hosted an even in India for 5000 tech folks in a single location for a 24 hours of coding event. And we hold a Guinness World Record for the same :)

And for the first time when I came to US, I had an experience of a lifetime. Because my first flight got canceled, my every subsequent flight was canceled/delayed. That was 1 hell of an experience with no way of communication!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach tech stuff & I can teach English or Indian languages.

If you are ever planning to visit Mumbai (Bombay), I can teach you Marathi - Native Language of Mumbai.
And I can also teach Hindi - (Bollywood Movies) :D

And of course I am a techie so definitely computers!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, Music and lots of stories :)
