About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting 20 acres working well enough to feed and shelter us adequately.

ABOUT ME

There are two of us sharing a house on 20 acres of re-claimed farm land. We work part-time at jobs we'd rather not do, so that we can spend the rest of our time working on things that we'd rather do. These things include turning the land into a shared self-sustainable, organic, permaculture farm. One of us is a computer tech the other is a weaver. We share the farm with several chooks, 2 cats, 1 dog, random turkeys, the odd gang of wild deer hoofing through and a bit of other wildlife. For a look at the farm go to...

Music, Movies, and Books

We have a library room full of books, and a large c.d and dvd collection.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to know how we go about managing our garden, harvesting/preserving fruit or vegetables or how to weave a scarf or flax basket, we are doing one or the other most days. If you are couch surfing with us you are very welcome to join in with our everyday running of the farm as we need all the help and enthusiasm we can get. If pottering around on the farm doesn't sound like your cup of tea, you can do your own thing looking around this beautiful part of the country.

I have a studio where I am happy to take students for the day if they are interested in the paid creative tourism option. My blog has some class and cost details.
