About Me

Go to Brazil and Uruguay in November/December!

I'm a 24 year old from North Vancouver, a wealthy suburb of Vancouver, Canada. I'm energetic and outdoorsy, enjoy meeting new people and having fun. I currently work helping to maintain the city's drinking water system (we have very good water ;) Send me a message and if I'm available I'd love to help you experience my beautiful city!

I believe that everyone is the author of their own stories and everything happens for a reason. It is best to accept our imperfect reality than long for our ideals, while always being conscious that our thoughts and actions can create real change. Positive thoughts and actions result in positive energy coming back your way :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to couch surfing, but I like to meet people visiting my city from abroad and give them a taste of the Vancouver and Canadian culture. There really aren't very many "locals" in Vancouver, most residents have come from abroad

Philosophy, Sports (especially ice hockey, I am Canadian after all), Hiking, Economics, Culture, Nature, History, Politics, Current Events

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most kinds of music but generally prefer chill tunes, except when it's time to party. Then I need something I can dance to! Also, I try to support my local and Canadian artists.

I haven't read many books of late, although I'm currently reading "Civilization: the West and the Rest" by historian Niall Ferguson. Instead I read magazine (Economist, Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated) and online articles.

Almost all kinds of movies can pique my interest: action, thriller, documentary, comedy, artsy, dramas... But no romantic comedies!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked to the top of the pyramid at the Coba Mayan ruins in Mexico and saw a green ocean of trees across the horizon in all directions with cenotes and forest fires intermittently dotting the landscape. Wow

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Finland, Mexico, United States
