ABOUT ME

I'm eighteen, I study philosophy, sometimes try to write and have always wanted to travel.

Always up for meeting people, so if you end up around Cambridge I'd be really happy to go for a drink or a coffee and show you around the place.

PHILOSOPHY

There's loads I could write here but mainly I'd be trying to say what someone else has said better.

Lots of people want too much and I like how this quote from Walt Whitman reminds us about what's important.

'To stop in company with the rest at evening is enough,
To be surrounded by beautiful, curious, breathing, laughing flesh is enough,
I do not ask any more delight, I swim in it, as in a sea. '

Interests

Sometimes you find things that make you want to live your life differently. You suddenly want to hitchhike across America in a straight line, or find a way to help people, or see someone you haven't talked to in years. I think I'm just interested in finding the things that can do that to us. Stories, philosophy, music, films and people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music taste change's a lot. At the moment lots of folky stuff.

I quite like films where not a lot happens; Amelie, L'auberge Espagnole, The Boat that Rocked, Brokeback Mountain, The Cradle Will Rock.

On the Road by Jack Kerouac is an amazing book, as is God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending a week at the Sziget Festival in Budapest with some of my closest friends. Drinking, dancing, eating, smoking sheesha, bungee jumping and waking up boiling hot in our tents.
