About Me

To free myself from the office.. and hear the music of the world.

I'm a fun and outgoing gal who likes to see new places and meet new people.

As Monty Python put it.. Always look on the bright side of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Not sure yet! This will be my first stint..

I love learning about other cultures and languages. I speak Indonesian and lived there for a year while I was studying. I'm also a guitarist and singer-songwriter. I have a weakness for galleries, markets and good books. And I'm a motorbike rider, but also love cycling too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music.. at the moment, listening to Bon Iver, Sharon van Etten, Gillian Welch, Feist, First Aid Kit. Very much into indie folk and country right now but have a weakness for funk and soul as well.
Movies.. just going off what I watched recently: All About My Mother, Annie Hall, Midnight in Paris, Jackie Brown, Melancholia, Superbad, Some Like It Hot, Duck Soup.
Books.. I just read We Need to Talk About Kevin; also love any inspiring autobiography I can get my hands on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunrise over Mount Bromo in East Java, Indonesia.
Sailing through Milford Sound in New Zealand.
Swimming in Lake Maninjau, Sumatra, Indonesia.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Spain, Thailand, Timor-Leste (East Timor), United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Indonesia
