I am from Istanbul, Turkey. This year, I am in the USA for Fulbright Scholarship program. I will be staying till the end of May 2016 and I stay in Athens, GA an hour away from Atlanta, GA.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be staying in America for a year and I would like to experience American culture at most and I would like to travel around as much as I can. My friends advised me to use Couchsurfing to host and be guest while travelling. I would like to be host as well as being guest on Couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saved a baby`s life. One day I was travelling on train with my mom and a baby got sick and I started to search for doctors and nurses in the compartments. I entered almost an empty compartment with only 3 passengers. And I asked `Is there any doctor here? There is a baby in our compartment who is suffering from seizure` and one women answered `I am a doctor!` I was the happiest person in the world. She gave the baby immediate treatment and then we called an ambulance and he baby was taken to hospital

Teach, Learn, Share

I am teaching Turkish in America and English in Turkey. I am learning Spanish at the moment so it will be a great experience for my host to practice languages with me.

I can share my experiences in America so far and I can give information about Turkish culture as well. Even I can teach some Turkish to my guests and hosts.
