ABOUT ME

To be honest, Xin is diligent and serious in his academic studies and research. His undergraduate GPA is 3.9 and he has published two papers. As a prospective ecologist specialized in restoration ecology, landscape ecology and global change, Xin has solid experiment skills and long-term version, which make him very competitive among his undergraduate institution- Nanjing Forestry University. In addition, Xin is an humorous man in his daily life, and he is always optimistic and open-minded who would like to make more friends and exchange different ideas from all kinds of backgrounds and culture. This September, Xin is going to pursue the graduate degree in the USA, you know, he has applied for 17 graduate schools, such as UC. Davis, Umich and so on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS was introduced to me by my friend Fang Liu and Egon Wang. I found this website was a good platform to exchange ideas and help others, so I am in now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Feb. 2012, I went to Beijing city and met my good friend Fang Liu. Subsequently, by the introduction of Fang, I made the acquaintance of Egon Wang and his friend Raphaelle Dallemagne.

Interests

First of all, I would like to say the world of nature and travelling worldwide do really grab my attention because I love nature deep in my heart, and my undergraduate major-ecology gives the chance to get close to the air, the ocean and others. Through going on a trip to different places, I can learn a lot of things from the local people and make more friends, which would make my life interesting and wonderful.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First, I filed my transfer from Environmental Engineering to Ecology in the first year in college.
Second, I climbed the top peak, the highest peak in south-east China, in Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province.
Last, I made the decision to pursue the graduate degree in the USA.
