I'm Basar, from Istanbul, Turkey. I graduated from Mechanical Engineering department but I've never worked as an engineer. Since 2011, I've been working as business development and R&D project consultant for start-ups and corporate firms. I also love to travel and discover new places, cultures and people on my spare times.

When I need information about places where I am about to travel, the first platform I use is Couchsurfing. That's why I am here and I'm ready to help people who wants to visit Istanbul.
I I am passionate about discovering new tastes and local food when I arrived a new country (city). The cuisine is the most important part of culture of community in my opinion. Thus, I try to eat every kind of local and famous food of cities when I travel. I also want to walk every street of cities and see the how local people lives.
