Life goal of understanding:answer those three questions:
1) Where I come from
2) Who I am
3) Where I want to go
I was born in the Caribbean and I lived 12 years there. Then I moved to France for almost 8 years. With my family I lived on a boat most of childhood. Between studying technical sciences, business and sociology, I travelIed and worked in New-Zealand and also in Barcelona.
I visited China for 6 weeks, and spend 9 months in South America weeks.
After a 5 months trip in India on a spiritual journey with life in an ashram for relaxation, meditation, spirituality and yoga, I've been enjoying 2 Months in Nepal where I stayed in a Buddhist retreat center. After that I spent 4 months in Thailand, starting to get all the certification to become a scuba diving instructor. Still on the way. I also volunteer as an english teacher up North of Bagkok for few weeks.
Since the end of August, I'm in China, teaching french to kidsin a city called Suzhou. A good way to enjoy the life here in China, save some money and think about the next destination an project!
"Keep smiling" That could be my way of life.
I want to keep travelling, meeting people and try to find the right place for me in this world, trying to understand my "real me".
Life is life, not good, not bad, just life. From a Buddhist perspective (as far as I understood it) life is not about having good luck and hope for only good things happening in your life, but mostly learn to handle things in a positive way, keep going in any circonstences.
Just want to say to all this guys so busy in the subway, running around, puching and fighting against each other:
"Hey dude, take it easy!"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted some people when i was studying in Montpellier. Now that I am travelling around since few years, i guess i can offer nice talk and share with people i meet.
Currently settled down in Suzhou, I guess I can offer to host people that would like to look around the place.
I did couch-surfing in New-Zealand, China, Cezch republic, Ecuador and India. Really interesting to meet an other human from the same earth, with others goals, an other way of life, differents origins, jobs, just diffents kind of people to resume!
But we have all the same purpose of life: making as much connections with as much people as we can from all around the globe. For a better understanding of ourself and a better understanding of others, of the world.
The couchsurfing meeting I made in auckland every wednesday night in a bar on the harbor was really entertaining. Now i'm just meeting as much people as i can trough couchsurfing, experience new things, share new ideas and perspective about life
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really read much obviously but the kind of books i like are history and philosophy books. At the moment I'm deeping into books of Jiddu Krishnamurti.
About musics i'm really open, my favorite bands are Buena vista social club, Red hot chili peppers, The fray, and some good old fashion french singer
