About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to have more fun than everyone else :)

ABOUT ME

I am about to embark on a "trip of a lifetime" during the summer of 2010. I have been really lucky to have some amazing travel experiences so far and I will be trying something completely different this time.

PHILOSOPHY

the golden rule must be applied to everyone

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am extremely new to CS and just learning what it's all about. I am definitely interested in hosting once I get moved into my new place (after my big "trip of a lifetime")

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed on one couch so far in Alexandria, Virginia which was an excellent experience (thanks Jonny!). During my stay, I met many fine people from the DC area who are incredibly active in CS social events and very welcoming to visitors.

Interests

Reading, Hockey, Motorcycling, Adventure touring (on motorcycle), Physical Fitness, Boxing, Downhill and Cross-Country skiing, Rally car racing, auto racing in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am big reader. Currently reading "Three Cups of Tea"

recently finished reading "The Tipping Point" and "Outliers" (both by Malcolm Gladwell) and "The Golden Mean" (historical fiction talking about Aristotle's tutoring of Alexander the great). I am filled to the point of nausea with movie quotes (but I have the ability to filter/inactivate this "skill" if necessary). I love all kinds of music especially live music and I love being introduced to new music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've driven a high-performance sports car on the Nürburgring/Nordschleife racetrack in Germany. That is one of my favorites.

Teach, Learn, Share

do yourself and the world a favour, and check out this website!!! and learn about the beauty of micro-lending. It's a beautiful thing! :)
