About Me

los angeles native, lived in san francisco, boston and a few other places. i'm always looking to explore and always on the look out for kindred spirits.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i think cs is rad despite the changes since its inception.

i've hosted a bunch of folks and met up with others for drinks, socializing and sightseeing. i've yet to couchsurf myself, but i'm looking forward to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

going on a one year surf trip after quitting a job. everything about it was amazing.

surfing a wave for a quarter of a mile in chicama peru. the ride lasted almost two minutes!

seeing little penguins (no bigger than 30 cm) emerge from the ocean and head to their burrows in phillip island, australia. signs abound warning to "please check under your car before driving away" lest a little one decided to chill there.

swimming with jellyfish at jellyfish lake in palau. these jellyfish have lost their stingers over the ages because there are no natural predators in the lake. swimming with them was like being in another world.

racing along side a whale shark in the maldives. fortunately, whale sharks are laid back vegetarians. but they have poor eyesight, so avoid getting right in front of them like i did. ouch!

riding tiny elephants to check out tigers in kanha, india. we chose the tiny ones because we could then be closer to the tigers. luckily, tigers leave even the small elephants alone.

relaxing in a natural hot spring on a farm in the outskirts of rome. i didn't mind all the naked old men. it was part of the experience.

dining at arzak in san sebastian, spain. friggin amazing.
