About Me

Please DO NOT send me random friend requests. Explain why we need to get in touch and then we'll get in touch. The friend/reference system is there for a reason: to show other surfers that you're a real person with real friends, and adding each other on CS doesn't make us friends in real life.

I realized I have not updated this bit of my profile in a long time. I've been in BA for the past 8 months, now I'm trying to settle down.

I'm into languages, literature, communities, activism etc. If there's something happening in the area, I would like to talk to people and learn about it.

The word feminism and its implications vary from person to person but I'd like to think of myself as someone who tries to critically think about gender stereotypes and empower, wherever possible, the ones who have been oppressed within the power structures of the society.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've done surfing + hosting, and meet people when I have the time.
I don't have a set home for myself at the moment but whenever I'm in a position to offer space, you're welcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

You can ask me about specific people on my list. I suck at giving bad references.

Interests

I like to stay indoors by myself or have friends over. Not much of an outgoer.
I'm a freelance translator so it makes it easier for me to not go out. I'm not sure it's an entirely good thing.

I'd like to meet people who are humbled by their very existence and are not afraid of ridiculing themselves and I would absolutely love movie and/or book suggestions.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately I've been trying to focus on some academic reading regarding translation studies etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've got couple of stories that I might want to share later.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer help with pretty much anything. I don't have many practical skills but I'm a fast learner. If you show me how to do something, I'll soak it up.

I've got nice music to share.
