About Me

Amazing, left-handed, red-haired and Austrian.

Not enough? Okay, I'll try to do better...

I've been living and working in wonderful Budapest for about three years, till I followed my calling last November and quit my job to see the world.

I have a very sarcastic sense of humour and there is nothing more entertaining than having a verbal duel with someone like-minded.

I hate small talk, but I love conversations. I love people's stories and I love to hear how they see the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling for a while by now, I am fed up with staying at hostels, just meeting other tourists and end up in the same touristy places. Don't get me wrong, this can be great fun, but it makes it quite hard to get to know the real soul of a place.

So I came here to try my luck.

As I am new and have no references, you just have to take my word for it, that I am not a crazy axe murderer. If you need more convincing proof, I am happy to connect with you on facebook and open my complete profile to you.

Interests

Everything.

Well... that was a lie. I am not interested in sports, besides of martial arts, since I have a black belt in Taekwondo. So you better watch out. :)

Travelling, movies, books.

Going out with friends and having, deep, meaningful conversations and figuring out how to solve all the world's problems, only to wake up the next day with a huge hangover and having completely forgotten how. Repeat.

Beaches, sunsets, the moon, stars.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Everything from Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain is almost equally high on the list. I must admit, Game of Thrones also got me, although all the changes in the show compared to the books drive me nuts, because I complete lost overview.
I like all kinds of classics a lot, because they have a different use of language than many newer books, and you can easily get lost in it's beauty.

Music: don't have a favourite band. Favourite genre would be metal. Not the hard stuff though, but things someone used to call "pussymetal". Turisas, Amon Amarth, Orphaned Land are just examples. But I also like more traditional eastern european, balkan or oriental music. There are just too many beautiful songs out there, for one lifetime. :)

Movies: 300, Everything is Illuminated, 13th Warrior, Indiana Jones, Midnight in Paris
