ABOUT ME

Starting my "third act" - I'm a free-spirit looking to see the world now that I no longer have any ties that bind.
I want to find some meaning and perspective, as I continue on this journey called my life. And it is a journey - maybe without a destination!!
I'm friendly, easy to talk to -- an extrovert. But easygoing and spontaneous also. I try not to "sweat the small stuff."

PHILOSOPHY

The older I get, the more I've started to resent my material possessions. Maybe 10 items I can't do without, all the best I can afford. That's it.
Life for me is now about connections to others, and making community, wherever I find myself. The hard thing is sustaining that community when you're not physically present - but that's what the internet is for.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I met some of the organizers of the NYC CS Meetup - and CS has come to me at the right point in my life -- it sounds like a perfect way for me to go see the world and meet awesome like-minded people

Talking to people - anyone!! Listening to their stories, trying to make connections. I always visit museums and churches, no matter where I am. And I love to draw.

Sounds trite, but the most amazing thing that has happened to me is giving birth to 3 children and watching them grow into fantastic, grounded, competent, confident adults. yikes!!

I know a bit about art history, architecture, and design. I can fix just about anything (except maybe a broken heart??) and I like to garden.
