Taking Tango apart and putting it back together
In a foreign city I'll rather head for the flea market than the cathedral; in dancing I look for structures and patterns; in writing computer code, for symmetry and beauty; in talking to someone I'll eagerly wait for the second impression. (Yes, it's very much worth the trouble.)
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Mostly I've taken part to events.
Music, Movies, and Books
The Little Prince. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Call of the Wild.
Fabrizio de André, Leonard Cohen, Vienna Teng, Carlos di Sarli, Joni Mitchell, ... too much to list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Solo touring the Seven Lakes route in Northern Patagonia on a single-speed folding bike.
Transforming any kind of spots, for three minutes and with cooperative friends, into dance places: bus stop, markets, airport lounges, trains.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can get you started, and then some, in Tango Argentino or Sevillanas (a Flamenco-looking Andalusian folk dance). I can teach or help with many computer topics, from elite programming to everyday survival. I can guide you through the basics of Anapana meditation.
Or I can just cook Italian dishes for you. :)
I like to learn the basics of any language or cooking tradition I come across.
