About Me

Building a home on the river & furthering my education

Happy go lucky, hard-working, creative, fun/funny, interested guy. Live with my two dogs on a (HUGE) boat, on the edge of London/Essex. Traveled a bit, intend to do more. Love cooking and eating, non-religious, open-minded (I hope). I do work away for short periods of time, mainly in England, but travel around Europe for work at occasionally.

Definately a feely person. Have had an interesting life, some of it down and gloomy, but I have learned loads about myself, and for the last few years have been happy to be me. I want to improve more and more as I age. Bit like a good wine, in a way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have only just heard about this, but have been a provider of sofas and even beds for various travellers through-out my adult life. I love to meet people, and hear their views and experiences.

I love music, especially when it is live, here in front of me. Best around the kitchen table, or a few musoes round the camp fire. I love my food, too, normally only cooking organic. No Meat for me, but I do do fish. I like good wines. I read a lot, and would love to write a good book. One day. Very fond of animals, care about the planet and most of the people on it! Love the sun and the moon, beaches, rivers, mountains, and world peace!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

The kite runner must be one of my favourite ever books. Also The Shipping News. Not really into films, although I have enjoyed a few. More likely to listen to the radio than turn on a TV.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Given a blind puppy the chance of a life. She was going to be put down, but when I heard about her, I said I would find her a home. She has one with me! It is amazing, because every single day, she makes me feel so grateful that we have a life. She is one of the happiest beings I have ever come across. Mostly, she just wants to fetch the toy she has brought to you to throw for her, and searches away until she finds it. Amazing, definately. Also, she is very loving and beautiful.
