To see as much of the world as possible, albeit on a budget.
I'm a laidback person who loves to travel. I am coming to the end of my PhD studies, and want to explore a little bit before I embark on the next phase of my life.
I am liberal in my attitude to life and enjoy having interesting conversations over coffee or beer.
My travel philosophy; whenever I miss visiting something in a city I have been to, I use it as an excuse to go back in the future.
My personal philosophy; take life as it comes and don't worry over the unimportant things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new to this, so no experience yet, I'm hoping to meet great people! A couple of my friends have couch surfed and have always had very positive experiences.
As a hobby I enjoy photography, especially of the new places I visit. I love to attempt to speak new languages and learn from native speakers, although I apologise now for butchering your native tongue. When visiting places I like to walk, look, enjoy, generally take in the atmosphere and appreciate my surroundings.
Music, Movies, and Books
I will listen to almost any kind of music, but I am particularly into rock, punk, indie. If you can recommend new music to me I would be very grateful! Take a look at my music tastes here: last.fm/user/bazman1987
I will watch most films and will happily read a book that comes with a good recommendation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Narrowing it down to just one is difficult. By far the eeriest thing I have done was to visit the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, a very strange and poignant place.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am distinctly rubbish at playing the guitar, I would love to learn but time has never been on my side. I am happy to learn new things, regardless of what they are, surprise me!
