I am from a small town in the southeastern part of the United States. I began my college education at Colorado State University to pursue a career in tourism as well as resource management. I am currently headed to Dunedin to study at University of Otago for the first semester session.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning to spend the first three weeks of my journey in New Zealand solo exploring the North Island before heading to Dunedin. As all aspiring graduates I am on a tight budget and want to see as much of this beautiful country as I can while staying within my budget limits. I have a wide range of music taste from bluegrass, rock, hip-hop, and jazz. I am an avid concert goer and I am very excited to see what New Zealand has to offer in regards to live music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My personal greatest accomplishment was solo backpacking the first 1/3 of the 2,200 mile Appalachian Trail lining the eastern coast of the US.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I bring an optimistic and outgoing attitude everywhere I go. We are only on this planet for so long and I believe sharing knowledge and stories with fellow inhabitants is the best way to truly expand what we give and take out of life. I'm very clean and respectful of hosts and their residence. I have traveled across most of the United States and I can offer great insight on the beauties my home country has to offer.
