Travel, Learn, Share
I have lived in Colorado and Kentucky. I got a Ecology degree from Colorado and am currently working for my MD in Louisville. I am an open minded, easy going person that loves to learn about anything. I have a sister that is and engineer in Southern California.
I feel we are at a very critical moment in history and every action can have profound results. This is why I love to travel. I want to understand humanity from all angles, and hopefully make a positive contribution to the world community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just got started with this. A good friend introduced me to this when she went around the world, and I´m currently trying it out myself. I will be happy to host people in Louisville when I can. I think this is an awesome way for people to unite and truely learn about each other.
I am just getting started with this online version of couch surfing, but I have hosted and participated in couch surfing in the States. I also did a lot of homestays and couch surfing in Southeast Asia and Belize. I have just finished staying with a family in El Progresso, Honduras for the past month. I have been working in the Surgery Department at a local hospital.
I love Biking, Hiking, Camping, Ecology, Medicine, and just plain hanging out and chatting it up. I´m very easy going and I am pretty much down for whatever comes my way. I do enjoy going dancing on occasion.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love almost all music, and really enjoy discovering new sounds. I like movies too, but most of the major blockbusters don´t usually interest me a lot. I like independent films better. Unfortunately, being in medical school, the only books I usually have time for are text books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I´ve not done anything that amazing. I have done a lot of bicycle touring, including a trip from Portland, Oregon to Baltimore, Maryland.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn about sustainable development, and sustainable farming. I am also very interested in international medicine. Sociology is also a passion of mine. Above all, I am interested in learning about how my actions in the US impact the world. I can share my knowlege of medicine, ecology, and my understanding of the US.
