About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am a language fool and I enjoy meeting new people and being exposed to new cultures.

ABOUT ME

I am Italian and Colombian and born in the USA. I have lived in Texas, Louisiana, Florida (most of my life), Venezuela, Colombia, Italy, Austria and France!! :)

My biggest passion is learning new languages. I feel like we can never know enough of them! They open up so many new possibilities and experiences for us!

I currently work in the Rhône-Alpes region of France. I've been here almost two years and I absolutely love it here!

PHILOSOPHY

Traveling changes your life.

When you teach, you end up learning more than your pupils.

Peace begins with a smile.
Mother Teresa

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
Mahatma Gandhi

Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.
Mother Teresa

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.
Mahatma Gandhi

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.
Maya Angelou

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am willing to offer a couch to visitors and to give them a tour of the city. I'm also a great cook and love to learn more about gastronomy and wine. I'm a great conversationalist and most of my friends and family can tell you I can pretty much talk to anybody about anything :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just getting started on CS. My friend Alison told me about it a while ago and she had some awesome experiences so I decided to sign up. I think when we travel we focus too much on getting to know the places we visit and we forget the PEOPLE that make the places what they are! This is so crucial. I think CS is that: getting to know new places through new experiences and the real people who live there.

Interests

Reading, traveling, meeting new people.
Learning new languages, as I said before.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen faith move mountains. I've seen people come together, despite their differences. I've seen forgive each other and leave behind their resentment.

I don't know what the most extraordinary thing I've ever done is but I know that people who are able to find joy and contentment in the little things in life are far happier than those who cannot.
