ABOUT ME

I love to travel and also to help out. I graduated in December with a degree in Dietetics from UW Madison but didn't find myself in that degree so after college I went on a backpacking trip with a friend. Now I was just recently accepted into Americorps as a volunteer for a year in Nevada and am hoping to gain some valuable life skills, good friends and to travel a bit of the west coast!!!

PHILOSOPHY

Things happen for a reason. The only reason that things do not work out is because we are not willing to wait for them to happen.

Right now I am between houses, but in the future I would like to be able to house people that need a place to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a girl in Heidelberg in Germany and had a wonderful experience couch surfing and would like to meet some more people the same way!!!

Interessen

I love music and the outdoors. I am trying to get some experience working in conservation work and possibly attend grad school after my year in Americorps. Of course, I also LOVE to travel and meet new people!!!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I like all types of music, but the only music I really don't like is country (sorry to all the country fans out there, it is just not my thing). As far as movies, I love comedies, documentaries, the occasional action movie, but I can't do scary movies.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

The most amazing thing that I have seen is life through the eyes of those with less. When I was backpacking through Europe my friend and I lived on a very small budget and sometimes even spent the night at train stations, airports, or McDonalds just to have a warm place to stay during the dark hours of the night. It was a really amazing experience to have to figure things out on our own and not have our friends or family to run to when we needed help, it was all on us.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I have a love for music and even though I was not traditionally trained in most instruments that I play I can attempt to teach you to play an instrument (ie guitar, bass, trumpet, clarinet, piano...)

I also have some knowledge of nutrition, so if you want to be a little healthier, I can try to help...
