One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was travelling along the east coast of Australia in April 2010.

Byron Bay is so unique. The magic of Byron envelops and nurtures you, allowing you to flex your muscles, strengthen your relationships and nurture your soul.

Here I walked to the Cape Byron Lighthouse, getting to the most easterly point in Australia. This walk took me through rainforest with lots of birds called Rainbow Laurel Kea singing in the trees, past rugged cliff faces and lookouts where I admired the breathtaking scenery. Manta Ray and dolphins were swimming leisurely in the sea, brush turkeys and water dragon enjoying their time on the grass. On the way back from the track, I was curious to find that a filming crew was busy filming on the Clark beach with a magnificent view of surfers out there surfing. Every day early in the morning after 5am, rainbow Laurel Kea starts their singing. Around 7am, the singing and birds all disappeared. It is here that I saw the most glorious sunrise on the Main beach. I really enjoyed my time jogging in the morning on the most wonderful beaches in Byron Bay with surrounding lush, mountains and beautiful countryside.
