Hello. My name is Benjamin Cheng and I'm 18 this year(2014). I'll be explaining why am I on Couchsurfing later. I love travelling and since I've completed my pre-U, I'm considering a gap year plan where I will be able to use it to travel around places.
For now, my interest is to visit Korea after watching episodes and series of Korean dramas and Running man! Haha. I can't wait to dive into the delicious [delicious is an understatement though. (; ] food and beautiful culture!

I'm from Penang, Malaysia which is a beautiful country with diversity. We have 3 major race in our country (Malay, Chinese and Indians) and other ethnicity.
My roots are of Chinese which holds strong to family values and the concept of togetherness. Malaysia is incredible with its tasty food too!! God, you have to try it out. It's a once in a lifetime thing. Once you been there, there's no turning back! I mean it, really! :)

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

The reason I'm on Couchsurfing, for now, is to find a great host for my stay in Korea. I plan to visit the country next year in January and I hope Couchsurfing can help me meet up with hosts in Korea so I'll have the accommodation and someone to provide me with explanations and introduction to their country.

Even though I've heard of guesthouse in Korea. However, being able to talk to someone who understands Korea and is able to communicate in English is definitely a plus for me. :)

Interesses

My interest are more towards the art side, I guess?
Even though my subjects and stream I've been taking are sciences.
However, I will forever love art, music, dance and so on.

I appreciate the beauty and the artistic side of life, which is why I love art.
Listing out some of the things I love to be clearer, I love working with clay, cement and wood. I love orchestra music, contemporary dances, acting, visiting museums, reading poems, beautiful photography, and a really good deep book. ;)

That's the art side in me! I doubt my parents even knows! hahaha.

I have recently fell in love with cinematography music? As it is beautiful if you imagine it with scenes from movies.
I secretly love EDM too.

Growing up learning the piano has allow me to appreciate classical music. I love, love, love orchestra music. :DD

I don't know. Hahahah.
I have yet to comprehend the purpose of my existence...Ok, was just trying to be dramatic. i was exaggerating. ;)

I might have done some things which people might find amazing, but not me? I don't exactly recall doing something I find it was amazing. Maybe I am looking forward to doing far more amazing thing?

Yes. I am looking forward to hosts teaching me so I will be able to learn and share my experiences with friends and family.

To be honest, this is my first time on this website (25/11/14) and it's definitely my first experience with hosts as I've never joined a student exchange before. So, this will definitely be an eye opener for me which I certainly believe will treasure this experience for life.

Besides, there will definitely be friendships made with people (hosts) around the world. This website is certainly brilliant! :DD
