I have been studying engineering for the past three years, but I am taking a gap year this year, to better find my passion and get my enthusiasm in life back.
I'm in America for a course called The Millennial Quest, which is a course dedicated to bringing about cultural change and social renewal in the 21st century. I decided it would be a shame to visit the country for such a short time without immersing myself at least a little bit, so I booked my plane ticket home two weeks later, and I'm trying my best to get an authentic experience of the country while I'm here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing seems like an excellent way to meet genuine people, being much less commercial than something like a hostel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love heavy metal, particularly metalcore and post hardcore. Northlane, A Day To Remember, Architects, Enter Shikari, The Wonder Years, and Twenty One Pilots are some of my favorite bands
Movies: Fight Club is a masterpiece, fond of horror and action, but I don't have a huge movie preference
Books: Mainly fantasy. I read a huge amount growing up, but my favourites are Game of Thrones, anything by Terry Pratchett or Neil Gaiman, Chaos Walking trilogy, the list goes on...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sailed on Spirit Of New Zealand, a three masted Barquentine for 10 days, during which I climbed rigging, tacked sails and watched a pod of Killer Whales pass right by the ship
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my knowledge of physics, mathematics, electronics, programming, lasercutting, 3d printing. I'm pretty good on Excel, and I'm pretty good at fixing electrical/mechanical things
