ABOUT ME

I am a medical student from the UK. I'm a friendly and laid back kind of guy, and I love exploring new places and trying new things. I've travelled all over the world - I still haven't been to South America though! That's next on the list.

Life is too short to stay in one place, so I want to see as many different countries and meet as many different people as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A few summers ago I did a tour of Europe with a friend and we Couchsurfed everywhere. It honestly was one of the most awesome things I have ever done. I met so many cool people and did so many crazy and random things - I could not travel without Couchsurfing, it was the best part about being abroad. CS is such a brilliant way to meet people from all over the world
I haven't had the chance to return the favour with any of my past 'hosts' yet, though of course they would always be welcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think I stayed with around 5 or 6 different hosts when I was last in Europe, starting in Paris and ending in Milan. I had a great time with each of them. The best part was being able to see the places from their point of view - being shown around the best parts during the day, and spending time in their favourite bars and chill out places in the evenings. I understand that sometimes CS hosts are too busy to do all of these things with their guests, but that's OK, as I can look after myself quite happily.

Interests

I really like sitting outside in the sun with good company (and good beer). I like exploring new places and seeing the best of every place. I like sport, especially football, but my conversation is not just limited to this. Being a student doctor, I think I'm a pretty good listener which is useful as I really enjoy hearing about other people's stories and experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big reader of books, especially when I'm travelling. Have to while away those bus/train/plane journeys somehow. I'm into all sorts of music, really not that picky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have visited many countries, mostly in Europe but also many in Asia including Cambodia, Vietnam and Korea. I'm also done aid work in Zambia and Sri Lanka which were both incredibly eye-opening.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like jamming with my guitar and I really enjoy playing with other people, no matter what standard you are. I like to make people laugh, and be made to laugh too.
