To visit every state in the next four months, all while driving and living in my pickup truck. On a very limited budget. Also, to meet great people along the way!

ABOUT ME

Yarghh! I thought this wasnt a dating site? Anyway, I am currently traveling across/around the country...mostly to see things. I have been on cross country road trips a number of times before, but they always had a destination and we never had time for the things in between.

And, it was always we.

Now it is just me and I have all the time in the next six months or so, whenever my money runs out.

I am looking for neat places to see that are off the beaten path. I am trying to steer clear of huge cities, but not doing a great job. (I skipped over SF, but am going to LA?)

I am also looking to meet people along the way, share a meal, hear some stories, get acquainted. I would like to have people that are willing to go with me to places they recommend and get a good history, explanation, but i will also just take direction.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just learned about this shortly after starting my trip, so right now i am just participating by spreading the word and using the resource.

When i return home to portland, I will offer up my couch and see what that brings!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived in a large co-op house for many years in portland and hosted numerous couch surfers over the years. Mostly traveling punk kids, and bands and people of the sort.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I used to be a protest organizer for national movements like the RNC and DNC, the WTO and FTAA protests. One of the more amazing things I have done in that sphere was set up a pirate radio station to broadcast activist news during an event.

I also stood on top of a convergence center in Miami while the cops were surrounding the building and led a chorus of IWW songs.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will enjoy your company for an evening or two. I can teach you how to macrame (the creative art of knotting) or I can create something for you. I specialize in plant hangers, but for the sake of time you may have to settle on a hemp necklace or bracelet.
