One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The birth of my twin daughters left me speechless and sleepless for the first six months of their lives. They will turn four in December and I feel like the luckiest person earth to have them as my daughters.

Another time I was left awestruck was during my first week in a country other than the US when i was 18 and went to a political conference in Belgium. Stayed up the whole night the day before I left, partying with friends I would never see again. Something about seeing sunrise through a skylight window of a dank apartment, an early couch surfing experience no doubt, left me euphorically awestruck.
