High-school teachers get very few things named after them, and those few things that get attached to their names usually involve puerile playground chants or epithets hurled by people looking to choke public education dead. But if you visit Cafe Calacas in downtown Santa Ana, you'll find a sandwich named after High School history teacher Benjamín: the Don Benjamín

PHILOSOPHY

I like mixing it up and get into all kinds of activities and events. You have to try everything at least once. Always sees the positive side of any situation. A quiet confidence is what best describes me. I do like the arts, especially live music. I listen to almost everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

You can come and do it or yourself or I like hosting my city and areas around. Me and my friends like to participate in BDE or Best Day Ever. We will pick a city and go on a gastro crawl. We find the best food in nearby cities and visit them all, including drinking. There is much do on your own as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a long stay in Spain, just before I started teaching. I was able to work and play there for 6 months, it was great. I got to see the people, culture and life style.
