About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission, tricky. I needed to escape Australia, see family, go somewhere colder over Christmas, and swim in a Scottish loch...all this before starting my phd in invasive plant ecology in 2010!
ABOUT ME
I am an active, easy going fella on the final leg of my European trip. I've been in Switzerland with my best friend and her family for three months, followed by the UK where i worked as an ecologist at Imperial College. After breaking my foot, and rapidly running out of money, i decided to cut my losses and go on a final trip across europe and back to Australia.
PHILOSOPHY
I am trying my hardest not to get hooked up on life and its many stresses. Apparently you only get to live and die once, and that's our only certainty. I try to live in the moment, and any time my brain fidgets about an uncertain future i tell it to bugger off. Honesty and kindness are all that's needed to form life-long friendships!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have walked acros a barren Scottish highland moor, all alone save for the eagles and deer; I stayed in a glorious five-star palace in Venice on the Grand Canal; I performed in front of 10,000 people at a folk festival; I saw a lizard hatch from its egg; I found and identified a really rare plant in the depths of an Australian rainforest; I stayed up till 4am four days in a row clubbing while at London Pride; I climbed a Swiss mountain.
