To travel and experience the world, one place at a time.
I like gays, cookies, cuddles, the words "rainbows and debauchery", buying things for people, trying to make people happy, cuddles, old tv shows (1960-1980), movies, cuddles, cuddles and movies at the same time, musicals, musicals that involve gays, making Alex awkward, being quote "weird", confusing people, and planning. I really, really, really like planning. Call me extremely weird but its true.
And that's me.
I'm queer, friendly to all of the letters and colours, I love making new connections, and exploring. I think experiences don't necessarily have to be good to be great. Sometimes it can be the most devastating ones that are the most epic of your life.
I'm a struggling writer, as well. I've finished two manuscripts (although I think one needs seriously reconstruction) and I'm having an awful time getting myself to write anymore. So, I really want to travel, experience, and learn more about life, cultures, events, and happenings even if they aren't the best of circumstances so I can better connect with people of other walks of life and write their stories.
Live life now and don't forget that tomorrow will be worse, so value this moment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I really want to couch surf in my travels. I think it seems like a great way to meet new people, save a lot of cash and stress, and truly experience life and the world the way it was meant to be. Like when you do study abroad you're supposed to do homestay rather than dorms, I think its better to stay with real people in their natural environments rather than in a hotel. What experience do you get there other than different luxuries and prices?
None yet! I was supposed to stay with a couple in New York but we missed our bus and were't able to make it in to the city before our hosts went to bed. I hope to make some experiences soon though!
Amber: writing, drawing, thrifting, spending time with people I love, activism, drinking, LGBT rights, making people smile.
Christina: Chivas, Omar Bravo, thrifting, reading, Buddha, meditation, mota, spiritual connections, and giving back.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies- Crush (not the surfer movie); To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Numar; Drool; I Love You Phillip Morrisl Patrik 1.5; Harry Potter; Rocky Horror Picture Show; Time Traveler's Wife.
Music-Alternative rock; the first albums of great modern bands like All American Rejects and All Time Low; and late 90's to early 2000's pop hits. <3
Books-I haven't really read in a long time, but I like the Harry Potter Series and pretty much anything by Tamora Pierce. I also really got into Anne Rice for a while and still, to this day, love AND hate her style. It really gets me going because it's so beautiful and descriptive, but I HATE how descriptive she is at the same time. When you write 10-40 page back story passages that are completely unnescessary to the plot, something's wrong.
I'm also a big fan of unpublished works, like the ones you find online at sites like Wattpad. I have a lot of my work up there at the moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Only one...Um, a little old man holding an umbrella for a little old woman walking down the street in the dark and the rain in DC. That was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm personally pretty diverse. I'm Native American and English by birth but I only look the latter. I'm from the area of California that doesn't get sun or warmth or people. I'm from a super 420 based area but I'm not so huge on 420 myself, and definitely don't partake. I'm really young for my grade and my mental advancement and I've always been on the outside of my friend groups, but in recent years I've blossomed a lot socially and learned to quote "give less fucks". I've noticed it really helps in making life easier.
I know a lot of about queer culture and would love to share and build off of what I know already. I'm really excited to learn and travel and I'm pretty independent person, so don't get alarmed if I drift trying to look at stuff and what not. I live on the east coast, in Pennsylvania, and I go to this spec of a college where I'm studying Spanish and Queer Studies. I've got a lot of opinions about the east coast/west coast vibes and attitudes and can definitely give you a long spiel about that. When you get me into the right mood, I go off and can tangent, really well, but if I'm uncomfortable I'm actually really hard to get to talk. So if you want to learn from me, just be open and welcoming and show me your good vibes!
