We're a laid back couple who've spent the past year teaching English in South Korea (Busan to be exact). Our shared hobbies include: hiking, cooking elaborate vegetarian dishes, badminton, watching movies and other stuff. We aren't huge party people but can definitely appreciate a few beers or a bottle of wine and some good company.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We're into the idea of getting, and giving, a local experience when traveling.
We're new to CouchSurfing, although Beth's brother and his girlfriend have been members for a few years and have had many positive hosting experiences.
Books, food, outdoor activities, movies, frisbee golf (Gavin), running (Beth)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Beth: Hiked Machu Pichu, kayaked over a dinner table-sized jelly fish, danced to forro with Gauchos in rural Brazil.
Gavin: This one time I was working on an organic farm in France on a mountain and it rained a bit and then the sun came back out and there was a double rainbow and each of the rainbows seemed to be so close that you could probably have flown a kite up into them. Double rainbow all the way! What does it mean? Also, the clouds were all a really amazing golden colour, but that part's a little harder to explain well.
This other time I was in British Columbia staying with some family friends on Salt Spring Island during the Pleiades meteor shower There were tonnes of really long and thick meteor trails crisscrossing the sky for hours. Some of them were white, some blue and some were green. I was fourteen an stayed up really really late. It was awesome.
