ABOUT ME

I am a 42 year old real estate agent in Florida. Since the real estate market has been lousy for the past couple of years, I have gone back to school to get a degree as a Registered Nurse.

I am interested in that profession because it is something that I can do that might truely make a difference in someone's life, even if it is just for a few days when I am caring for them.

PHILOSOPHY

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cigar in one hand, bourbon in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a spare room available just north of Tampa, FL when I am not traveling.

I am currently enjoying traveling across the country and meeting new and interesting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just had my first CS experience. I was hosted by Debra in Amarillo, TX and had a fantastic time!

I like to work hard and play even harder. My interests include boating, motorcycle riding and scuba diving.

Currently, I am doing a month-long motorcycle trip from Tampa to Montana. I will be towing my dirt bike behind my street bike and riding it in the Rockys when I get out there.

Most types of music except for rap. Prefer country and rock.

I enjoy reading courtroom dramas and detective novels. I rarely have time to read these days, but when I do, I typically read a book from cover to cover in one sitting (might be why I don't have time).

I scuba dive in the underwater caves of north Florida and Mexico. I have been a mile back in a cave before, 100 ft underwater, which is about 45 minutes from fresh air if something goes wrong... Whew!
