To travel around parts of Turkey and Europe while studying abroad in Turkey
I am currently studying Environmental Science at North Carolina State University. I love to travel although I don't feel as though I have seen much of the world- hopefully CS can help me with that. I love being outdoors. And more than anything I love eating! Food and cooking are the best things in the world, and I especially love trying new foods from other cultures- I love it all!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to host travelers, but since I'm away I would love to be able to squeeze onto a couple of couches if possible!!
I traveled around in Turkey and couchsurfed for a weekend! It was a great experience- I got so much more out of it than just staying in hostels or hotels. The ability to really learn from people about their culture and lifestyle is wonderful and a very unique experience. I loved it and can't wait for more!
Being outdoors- hiking, running, biking, rock climbing, the list goes on...
Photography (although not too good at it)
Learning about people and meeting new people
- outdoor activities
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
Fire Season, 3 Cups of Tea, Into the Wild, any book I don't have to read for school.
I love most types of music- the XX being one of my favorite books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting some amazing places in Turkey while studying abroad- seeing Cappadocia and Pamukkale, along with some of the ancient cities. Hiking part of the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) and restoring the trail.
Teach, Learn, Share
Some random knowledge about the environment (and if not that I can spread my passion). A bunch of really embarrassing moments and I can tell you some great National Parks to visit in the US.
