Run away from recession!!!
I'm a (relatively) young man with a passion for moving, like everyone else here I suppose. I have been travelling since Dec 2008, but have spent (the last) 2 years in and around Australia, working, travelling, farming, travelling. Currently living in Abu Dhabi.
I love to meet random people (the weirder the better, although I think I met my limit in Barrow Creek) and learning new things (I am a fountain of random knowledge). I love to play guitar and jam with other travellers. I also try to (actual) surf, which I'm not sure I'm progressing (maybe some lessons wouldn't be a bad idea!).
Being Irish, I do enjoy an auld boozey-do every now and then and my favourite place to meet randomers is in dodgey looking pubs and bars!
Positivity and randomness is how I like to live (Always think, 'What would Macgyver do?')
Can't think of anything else to write, maybe I should get someone who knows me to write this. I'm sure it'd be more interesting..... for me anyway!
I believe that people are basically good. I have been lucky that nothing majorly bad has happened to me on my travels, but I have heard some horror stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try my best to be accommodating to peoples needs when I can, because we've all been THERE! I had my most hosts when I was living in NZ and I hope to spread the wonders and benefits of CS around the world.
On my second couch at the moment. Been to Christchurch, which was my first amazing experience. Since then moved onto Wellington and made it to my first event too. Really moving up in the couchsurfing world!!! :D
Back in Dublin now. Unfortunately can't host but can be a good guide for the Howth area.
I love music! Anything original and decent, from Bob Dylan to CunningLynguists, The Doors to Mr. Scruff, Michael Franti to Metallica!
I play guitar and love a good jam session.
Getting out and about is a good thing for me. 'A day wasted, is a life wasted!'
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Machu Picchu, Peru - The main reason I traveled to South America was to see Machu Picchu. This place has enchanted me since I was a child, and the life long dream was realised in my last week on the continent.
The mystery as to what is actually was used for, the engineering feat that it is and the sheer location is enough to capture anyones imagination. I recommend anyone, no, everyone to visit.
Perito Moreno Glacier, Argentina - I've seen glaciers before, but this was nothing like the others. Another awe-inspiring sight (that term has fallen out of fashion, I'm gonna bring it back)!
The majestic sight of a huge mass of ice sliding down the mountainside and calving into Lago Argentina, even on an overcast, wet and highly hungover morning is a rather humbling experience. I don't remember glaciers being this exciting in geography class!
Iguazu Falls, Argentina/Brazil/Paraguay

??? Eh,? I'm full of, what other people call useless, information. But I believe there is no such thing.
Information is power, in a pub quiz!
Gold fish Iris' are a fixed size. Interesting, no?
