Overview
About Me
I love cycling, exploring, meeting new people, museums, arts and crafts (I used to be a stained glass artist), hiking, dark beer, cats, animals, and cooking. Before I started working for myself as a virtual assistant/web & print designer, I worked most recently in the nonprofit sector at a university and at a foundation. Once upon a time I was a babysitter extraordinaire.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people and explore new places.
Interests
Cycling takes up most of my free time and social life these days. I got into it in 1989. I was into mountain biking in the early 90s and then I got into road cycling. I used to live in Marin County and the mountain and road cycling there was amazing. Now I live in Oregon and the riding is great here, too.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite song of all time is Bowie/Queen doing Under Pressure. My favorite Sci-Fi books were the Dune series. I love action/sci-fi/comic-based shows and movies the best now. I also enjoy foreign TV shows like Bron/Broen (The Bridge) from Sweden/Denmark.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I learned how to S.C.U.B.A. dive in 1997 and that is a pretty amazing thing to do. It's a whole different world under water. My favorite dives were in Cozumel, Mexico.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a natural sharer. I share my stuff and my knowledge freely. I love learning, too!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can make you a meal. Just don't ask me to sing!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Turkey
