关于我

ABOUT ME

Im just trying to discover all the different cultures and places the world has to offer. Im a big fan of just living a simple lifestyle and trying to meet with all different sorts of people. I grew up in an artsy household (my parents are both in film), and Im trying to establish myself as a working filmmaker. There's nothing in the world i love more than music, and Im trying to take up a bit of the piano. I grew up in LA around a bunch of different diverse kids and, looking back, this is the type of atmosphere I always want to be around. Down-to-earth, chill cats.

PHILOSOPHY

we must all believe in ourselves and maintain a positive outlook on your own life, while always knowing that we are just one small part of this enormous world. i believe we must all give each other a chance to show what is special about them. and, i am a believer in compassion and feeling in your soul the need for a little bit of world peace. i know that last part sounds naive, but i believe we must look to a simpler lifetsyle in terms of material things and try to appreciate all that you have around you. i am sometimes nostalgic, but i believe that we must all look to our own personal and collective pasts to be in touch with our present day selves. "if you know you're history, than you will know where you're coming from."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Im new to this community, but I think it is one of the best ideas I have ever come across. A community of open-minded travellers and sharing people i something i want to be involved in. I want to share my couch with people and also be open to stay with a certain person anywhere in the world. I think hotels and hostels give you a different view of a place, but a good old fashioned couch in a local's living room gives you a unique glimpse into that person's own world as well as his/her city/town/countryside that surrounds them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Recently I was living in Bolivia and I visited Buenos Aires. On the way back from Buenos Aires, I decided to get back to bolivia in whatever fashion came my way. So, this involved being invited into a family's house in Jujuy, in norhtern argentina. they really took me in as a member of the family! they prepared a bed for me, we debated in spanish about latin american and us political relations, made empanadas together and laughed a lot. i feel i reall y got a taste of life in northern argentina, as opposed to just staying where lonely planet tells me to stay.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I just got back from living with a homestay family in Bolivia for 7 months. As an only child in the states, I lived with 5 brothers and sisters and had a 103 year old bolivian grandmother. we shared so many sotries, all in spanish, and i completely changed my lifestyle that i had been so accostumed to in the US and adapted to a house where there was often no running water, a foreign language (quechua, a native american language, was also spoken in the house), a Jesus shrine (i am Jewish), different food, no luxury goods, "uncomfortable beds" and so much more. it was the best 7 months in my life.

教,学,和分享

i want to learn to read music and play piano because i believe music is the base of living and communicating.
