To have compassion for those whom I meet.
I grew up in a rural community outside of Victoria, BC. I have a huge passion for new experiences, becomming involved and integrated into new cultures, and living life!
In my 'normal' life, I am an employee of Hub City Cycles Community Co-op; saving the 'lives' of bikes day by day through refurbishing them, fixing them, and teaching others how to fix them!
I speak English, some French, some Spanish.
I feel that we can watch and learn from our mistakes, and grow through having fun and pushing through our boundaries
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate in CS by hosting, and by creating amazing, memorable experiences for those who chose to host me :) I love to sing, fix bikes, and explore.
While travelling in Central America, I became good friends with a number of couch-surfing individuals. Myself and my friends actually stayed with a host in Guatemala City, as one of my friends was already a member of CS.
While living in Labrador in 2010, fellow staff members hosted a number of couch surfers.
I have hosted several CSers here in Nanaimo.
I love the ocean, bikes, camping, singing, music, mountains, animals, people, good food, and bad jokes.
Music, Movies, and Books
The Princess Bride, Modest Mouse, Mason Jennings
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My most amazing experience to date was a 2-month solo bicycle trip through Central America!
Teach, Learn, Share
What I can share:
Conversation in English, French, or Spanish.
Teach bike mechanics!
Music: I love singing. I have joined a barbershop group, and have begun nervously trying to teach others.
