ABOUT ME

I've spent many years trying to figure out who I am only to find out the important part is How I am. I figure if I live well today that makes me the person I am supposed to be. While trying to find me I have explored the United States through camping, backpacking, snowboarding, surfing and sprinkled in some scuba. I have worked for non-profits, been a systems administrator, a professional high diver, a therapist, a bum, and a social worker. Today I am newly married and live in my first owned home on two acres with an Australian shepherd, a rottweiler, an old cat, two chickens and a rooster. We live on a creek that leads to the bay and about 10 minutes from the ocean. I need to be near water. I am re-exploring my relationships with all things and re-inventing myself by living just for today.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't know yet what my role may be. My wife and I will start by doing some surfing and then possibly opening up our guest room. More to be revealed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Brand new to the CS scene. I had informally done much couch surfing in my younger years. Back in 1993 I couch surfed across the US and then experienced San Francisco via couch surfing until I decided to stay.

Música, películas y libros

I have an eclectic view for all of the above. Musically I lean in the Jam band direction and have been to many concerts from Phish and the Dead to Tool to Rush to Pat Methany and I could go on and on. As for books I read just about anything. Presently I am reading Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain(again) & The Bond: Our Kinship with Animals, Our Call to Defend Them by Wayne Pacelle. Recently I've read some Vonnegut and Hemmingway. I do quietly admit to loving Ann Rice.

Jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is on the top of the list of amazing things. Some of the most beautiful vistas I have encountered have been while backpacking in the high country of Yosemite as well as a four corners backpacking in New Mexico, Colorado,Utah and Nevada.
